A couple weeks ago I broke-in the barrel on my new 300 PRC... Shot 27 factory cartridges from Hornady, both some 212 ELD-X and 225 ELD Match. Put all my brass in a bag and just pulled it out again today.
The first picture approximates what I saw. Notice something sticking out of the round on the right.
I pull on it and with a little tension, out comes what looks like a coil of charred brass! It must have been in there the whole time.
I'm taking this is a sign that I should start getting into reloading. (Of course I should, right!)... Understand it was probably a fluke, but I don't want to be shooting another one of those flukes after all the money I put into this rifle.
