You didn't pull or jerk the trigger after a few Staples were in your finger. I was lucky that my dad had me shooting since four or five years old so knew how to shoot .Brutal, but probably effective!

Mine made us chew on our trigger finger until we got a blister. That also made it a little easier to get a good trigger pull.I too was in the Corps 50 years ago. I mentioned this many Posts ago. One way the Drill Instructors taught young shooters with trigger control was to take a "Paper Stapler" and put a Staple in their trigger finger. Makes you squeeze the trigger.
