Proof research barrel in a tikka varmint stock?

I know NOTHING about Tikka inlets. But I DO know how to sand down stuff. I happen to own metric and standard deep well impact sockets. They are perfect. You can find a "right size" for just about any barrel.

Broom handel is bad. You cannot get a concentric removal of stock.

Do not worry too much, most likely it will fit on a Super Varmint stock. If not, it is relatively easy to make adequate room/inlet in the factory stock. I have done it for 4 of my T3x rifles where I changed the barrel (in other cases I used MDT chassis). I used a Dremel with a metal cylindrical cutting bit for removing most of the volume in multiple passes (I like to have generous space for real free floating), then sandpaper to make it smooth, including the stock' upper edges and its front end. It took me 30-45 minutes to get it nice and even-looking. Tikka stocks are more rigid than the average factory composites, it has fiberglass short fibers in its mass.
