There are people here with knowledge, I should not be taking a guess. The C 5 should be about the contour, the xx is probably match barrel, but I was guessingI was going to say that's a pretty good guess.

Good list. Most of them I have checked, but there are a couple that I should look at.Having a hard time finding a good picture of your rifle's action. It appears that there is a blind hole for the rear action screw. If so check to see if the action screw is bottoming out. It can be caused by bedding material in the hole or an action screw that is too long.
I keep this check list in my documents on chasing down issues with rifles:
Check action screw hole for epoxy some action screws can bottom out in a blind hole
Leupold windage style base windage side screws not tight
Ruger rings not in recesses
Forward screw of front scope mounting base touching threads of barrel shank keeping base loose
Poor crown, optimal way is to check with bore scope
Action screw holes in stock too small, drill larger so sides of action screw won't touch
Bolt handle touching stock
Mag box must not bind
Recoil lug making early contact in bottom of bedding (rocking action)
Trigger group must not touch stock
Trigger guard must not touch trigger
Uneven bedding--- tightening one action screw to see if the action pulls up at other end.
Action screws properly torqued
Barrel having adequate clearance where it is supposed to be floated
Clean bore
Good advice. I did shoot some 180 Hornady soft points. I may try them again. Marginal results.Go to a standby factory load - Win or Rem. around 180 or 200gr. Follow your regular procedure for checking accuracy. If factory shoots good then your reloads are the problem. That becomes a tedious task to ferret out what is causing the problem. Change only one thing at a time or you will be chasing your tail. Good luck.
It can be found ,about two months ago I scored an eight pounder of Retumbo. even more recently and eight pounder of reloader 33 ,not that I recommend 33 for your rifle. I'm just saying it's out there you really have to beat the bushes and if you see it you better jump on it!Ummm … how might I get my paws on some H-1000? Or Retumbo? Stuff is scarce!
Yeah, I'm seeing powder come available here and there. More now than anytime in the last 2.5 years. It can be found ,about two months ago I scored an eight pounder of Retumbo. even more recently and eight pounder of reloader 33 ,not that I recommend 33 for your rifle. My local gun store just got in about 100 bricks of various primers and a great price too $89 no hazmat or shipping since it was a face-to-face deal, I picked up a brick for myself!Yeah, I'm seeing powder come available here and there. More now than anytime in the last 2.5 years.
I'd rather not buy another powder, but H1000 and Retumbo are solid choices in 300 mag.
Scored some Unique the other day. Pretty stoked about that. It's good to see Alliant putting some powders out.
