I'm gonna load some Leo 's for my 7 prc just to see what happens and shoot left handed as right shoulder surgery and left knee surgery within the last month I'm interested to see what the outcome of the primers will be
Make sure to hold your tongue just rightI'm gonna load some Leo 's for my 7 prc just to see what happens and shoot left handed as right shoulder surgery and left knee surgery within the last month I'm interested to see what the outcome of the primers will be
It depends on the temperature you are firing the round in. I'll run 215's in a 30-06 for hunting loads with I 4350 because I might just use it below zero. Most of my ammo uses mag. primers unless it's rather fast burning powder (like 4895) in a moderate sized case. I'd rather hit it a bit hard than deal with a squib round. My GS told me years ago, the only time a magnum primer is needed is when your using ball powders in a magnum case.
Yes, my testing using the Pressure Trace confirms this…Primer aficionados should seek out German Salazar's primer photography tests on primer ignition. You will have to use wayback machine to find his blog. Google it. Winchester primers are the hottest.
