Powder for 20” 300 WM

I am about to start trying to work up a load for a 300 Win mag with a 20" barrel . Looking for some help picking a powder to start with.( one that's available )
Probably loading 165-168 to start.
All the charts I've found are for 24"
I have H1000 I use in a STW (is that too slow)and Varget for 308.(too fast?)

I've had good results with Shooters World Long Rifle and lighter bullets (150-165) in both a 300 WSM and a 300 WM.

I can't remember if faster powders are the answer for shorter barrels as intuition would dictate. Because more powder burning in barrel, or has thus been debunked by "they/them"

For 168gr H1000 should work, but might be on the slower side of the powder you want to use. A little faster burn probably would help with a 20".
