I also have a savage but in mod.11. My gun did not like the 160 somethings at all,barnes,sierra or berger. However the 175 and 190 bergers work very well with R-19 and R-17. Also the WW factory 180's in the silver box showed
good accuracy for factory loads.

I use Berger 155 VLD Moly coated with IMR 4350 in my 1885 High Wall. Works great on whitetail deer that I have killed out to 500 yards. Very accurate
