liltank , I wanted something easy on the shoulder to learn on . I've only been shooting at longer ranges since about 2008 , so I have a lot to learn . my local range is 500 meters , roughly 550 yards ( 546 to be exact ) . I have confirmed my drops to 550 yds . 550 yds needs 8.2 elevation . I made a drop chart to 750 yds . if it holds true 750 yds needs 13.3 elevation . I'm shooting 140 Berger hunting vld's and RL17 powder .

where are you shooting , and how far can you shoot there ? I need to find a longer place to shoot , that's not too busy or too far to travel .

We did have a place on a farm that we can 1100yds, but they are selling the property. I know some Amish are building a barn in an area that we have sent rounds into before. I think we will be able to shoot straight on toward the mountain. We check things out here in the next couple months I'm sure.

Rbros .300 Win Mag on a Rbros (Defiance) action, Broughton 28" barrel, Manners EH-1 stock, Jewel trigger @2.0lbs, DE cheek rest, Spartan Precision Javelin Ultralight CF bipod, Berger 215 Hybrids, H-1000, Norma Brass, Fed 215M primers, 2975fps. Recently swapped out my Premier LT 3-15x50 and put that on one of my AR's, and put a new enhanced NF ATACR with the MOAR-T reticle. Love this combo! Funny enough, I haven't shot a critter over 200 yards since I had it made...rifle is 11 lbs 10 oz as pictured if I recall. Was 11 even when I had the Premeir on there...

I like where your head is at...can easily shoot 1800 yards there too (distance...not sure I would hit it)! We call it Tequila Ridge for obvious reasons. Every year the Ole' Man and I go drink a Tequila shot or three and shoot the same rock across the canyon and carve a notch in the tree. Getting to be a lot of notches and lemon wedges stacking up!
