Patriot or Traitor

What good is protection if we lose all of our rights? I would rather have the burden of defending myself and be free to do as I please. Seems to me if you go to a hotel or gas station our government is trying to help foreigners more than it's own people. Habib owns about everyone of them you go to and where do you think they get the money to start these businesses. They won't even give loans like these to their own people. Our nation has become so morally corrupt I fear to think about the world my children will grow up in. Something has got to change. I Love sports, but do these guys really need or deserve millions of dollars to play a GAME when there are starving and homeless people. I mean look at the suffering from our economy and these guys still complain they aren't getting enough. People have to step up in this country and be role models for our children. We need a leader in this country that will bring back old values and respect for each other. Our nation has become a land of young people with no respect for themselves, others, or values. I believe a lot of this we have brought onto ourselves by both parents working and not raising our children right. We depend on schools and daycare to raise our children. Sorry I have kind of gotten off topic, but I am scared to think of the things my 3 and 6 year old sons will have to see and go through in there life times. I grew up in the outdoors hunting and fishing with my dad and I still do to this day. My father is my best friend and I just want to continue to share those same experiences with both of my sons. And no politician or gun laws are going to take that from me.

Not exactly sure what you mean by this statement?

I agree that too many people feel entitled and I agree that I am not going to let anyone take away my right to use a firearm.

I mean look at our economy and some of these players still gripe that they arn't getting the money they deserve. Makes me sick.......when a teams gives a man a 6 year contract for 100 million dollars to play a game..something is bad wrong with our priorities

I agree 110% with that! but the way I see it... it is somewhat self inflicted. People are still stupid enough to spend big bucks for the stadium ticket. That is the market system at work... sad to say. That is one fo the reasons I don't watch pro sports anymore!

Thats capitalism. Taking money from overpaid athletes and feeding the hungry is somewhat socialistic don't tou think? I agree that they play a fun game and get paid exuberent amounts of money to do it and it not fair to the teacher, firefighter, LEO etc. people who put their lives on the line for a 1% of what tiger woods or Kobe makes, but people buy the shoes, tickets, jerseys, hats etc. I think actors are the most over paid because at least athletes have a talent and have to maintain an ability rather than just pretending on camera. The funny part is how much of society worships and are influenced by celebrities, most of whom have little education, real life expirience, are pretty ignorant etc. I am going to stop now cause I'll just work myself up too much.:)

People, Google Iowa National Guard cancels exercise. There you will find stories about plans for an Urban exercise in the tiny town of Arcadia,IA. slated for this April.

This exercise was to train Guardsmen to enter homes, search for, and CONFISCATE any weapons found.

This should give everyone pause. Please take the time to reflect on what this might mean.

I believe in my country, but I deeply distrust our leaders, no matter the party.

It seems we as citizens have become comfortable with being lied to at every turn, even expect it, as long as we are not to much inconvenienced.

Since I live in Iowa, this story hit very close to home.

I just read a couple articles about that. It seems to me that the intention of the exercise was to train troops for finding arms dealers OVERSEAS. Not to prepare them to take away your deer rifle.

I have read this thread and no one has said anything about writing there congress man the last I checked they work for us not the other way around. if we don't speak up they will just go with the flow if we don't like the way the country is headed fire the leaders.I say fire there *** and reelect no one

i know i am a little late for this post but here is my take.
a lot of his comments were right on and we need to take notice but i also take offence to a few things.
1. wearing the uniform and pulling the corp in it , if his face had been seen he would have been brought in under the ucmj and probably busting rocks in leavenworth
2. we dont need to seperate states we need to police the politicians and by the last election that is and has happened
3. we need to fight hard against the political and private organizations trying to control our rights but not to the point of seperating the country

i will give him a good slap on his back because of his knowledge and his stern belief in the country-so Semper Fi to you Devil dog but dont bring our Corp into it. he is the kind of guy that we need keeping the bad guys at bay
oooooooorah i stand by you for some of your beliefs and applaud your heart felt beliefs but you came real close to crossing the line
