PA. Votes NO

Well there you go, if slinging lead is what you need, they are certainly up to the job.
Take my word on that, this old fogey has owned and used 2 of them over a 70 year hunting career.
It's got nothing at all to do with guns, hunting, game management, or being denied an opportunity to participate, and every thing to do with an ever increasing bunch of whiners thruout our society.
Really living up to the Fudd name

That is the most stupid thing I have heard lately..No Semi's??
I have killed several deer with a Bushmaster 7.62 X 51MM absolutely no problems!
I'm positive it would work fine on Black Bears and Elk!
BTW. we have more and bigger Elk in Kentucky than Pa. has..Think about that when spending your money?

For sure Kentucky has more Elk, but it would be a stretch to claim bigger as for rack size. Anyway the 8x9 killed on our property wouldn't be sneered at by any serious elk hunter I've ever met. And no as of yet, but no doubt soon to change, the law doesn't permit semi autos for hunting "big game animals".
I was in my 30s, but no doubt had the clearer vision most Fudds do, when i traded my last "spray gun" for a more accurate bolt gun. Lol

Exactly, these are the same species found in the west in places like Yellowstone, where in past decades we had to travel in order to see them.
The part that irks me and many others however is that 40 years ago the PGC rammed down our throats that the more remote NC area of PA could no longer sustain the large deer numbers due to the aging of the forest. When asked why food plots couldn't be created by utilizing the many miles of gas pipelines and power lines, we were told it would be cost prohibitive.
But in fact the real truth was they had other plans, like enlarging the elk herd. And that also required gating off of all back roads but the main ones for vehicle access by hunters.
Today, there are also numerous man made food plots.
Of coarse it did have a positive affect on the non hunter tourist industry, but mainly they are directed into just certain selected areas.
I feel the downsizing of the deer herd in order to increase the size of the Elk herd, has played a larger roll in reducing hunter numbers in that region than the PGC is willing to admit.

The government should stay out of most things, they can't, haven't, or never will be able to make sane decisions. The semi-auto comes in many calibers and used to take mucho game each year.

The PA game commission is made up of private individuals appointed by the Governor for a specific term.
So they are not government employees, or professional polititions. Some may be active politically, which could have led to their appointment however.

My point is it shouldn't even be up to the game commission or their board, IMHO. You could end up with muzzel loaders and wood long bows.

Just wait thill they vote NO on semi auto shotguns. Maybe then people will wake up....
Semi auto shotguns have been legal in PA for decades for small game. I believe that as of last year they are now legal for all hunting there. I don't think conventional semi auto rifles like the Remington and others are the issue with most people either.
On the positive side PA has millions of acres of open public land to hunt for free. Something most other states do not have, especially in the east. Much of it offers better long range hunting than many western states. A non res like myself can buy a hunting license when i arrive for about a hundred dollars which is good for the entire year.
So if all hunters have to bitch about is no Sunday hunting or no semi auto rifles for big game, one might think there isn't much to bitch about. But of coarse one would be wrong, because there will always be bitching by some about something.

"Conventional semi autos"

Yeah you just think everyone should be limited to a Lever action or one if those Remington bars.

Here's a Remington semi auto for you

NY has already banned the purchase of black guns through Gov Cuomo's "Safe Act". Depending on which party takes the national elections next Nov it could easily happen on a national level.
Unless the US Supreme Court strikes it down a national ban would be the order of the day. With the dems in control things will continue to get progressively more restrictive from there.

yeah, the governor who celebrated late term abortions on-demand cares about "the children" and "safety". That guy is satanic.
I wouldn't even trust the SC. The totalitarian socialist party is talking about adding seats until they have a majority.
ultimately the right belongs to the people, and it's the people who will have to defend it.
