Hey Guys - I stumbled in here a few weeks ago and have enjoyed the professional knowledge and wisdom on these threads.
So I have a couple questions, but first
Here are a few of my many limitations:
I favor and own 270s
I shoot a Ruger No. 1 that I bought in 1980 (not sure what that's germane)
I favor Swift A 140s though not opposed to 150s
I've just received a No. 1 in 270 Weatherby, NIB built, I think in 2004 or 05 (actually pick it up tomorrow)
No really sure that I need another No. 1 and more I think about it not sure why I need a magnum, (my wife would agree) as all elk taken by me have been inside of 310 yds. (Actually More proud of last 2 bulls from the Gila and Carson taken at less than 90 yds - I enjoy "hunting"")
My old No. 1, as many of you won't find surprising, is very picky on loads but I found a suitable recipe with IMR 4831 with the 140s for my old rifle.
Question:
What wisdom or experience do you guys have with loads you like for 270 WBY using Swift As?
Of equal importance what should my expectations be -accuracy wise?
