Norma Bondstrike blue tip. what is the problem with it? Why its on sale everywhere? Is it good for game 600 plus yards?

Check out the video that Fromtline Rejects did on the 180gr Bondstrike, I've shot them from a stock Tikka 300 WSM and they shot sub MOA at 3070fps. The 143gr Bondstrike hand loaded in my 6.5/284 has been very accurate.
It's interesting that those guys mention that the BondStrike are elecrochemically bonded. I take that to mean plated like Federal Fusion?

Guessing so, which wouldn't be a bad thing, I like the Fusion/Gold Dot/Impact line, and now Federal has the Tipped Fusion. When looking at the 143gr Bondstrike, they look remarkably like the 143gr ELDX with a different color tip.

They hold the same zero and drop out to 700 yards for me. Then the brass is better quality too. If I'm spending $ I'd rather get the better brass. But if you don't reload it's hard to argue with the availability of Hornady ammo these days. Either way they'd have me as finding bond strikes to reload with is tough. I've only found one website from a company in the US that offers them.

The factory Bondstrike ammo shoots well out of my 6.5 PRC. I bought a case of it in addition to the bare projectiles. Haven't had a chance to load yet, but they will more than likely perform well on game.

Norma sells most of their ammo pretty affordable, I use the golden target for practice.

It shoots well, not incredible but well. The extreme spread is a bit high (both bondstrike and GT)

With the golden target the velocity jumps around a bit lot to lot, kind of hornady esk.

These have become my standard 6.5CM cartridge. Slightly faster than the Hornady 143gr, with similar BC, tight groups & really authoritative terminal performance. They just punch through, but without making a big mess.
