Well I am going to try my standard primers first for my PRC I am loading the ELDX bullets. I am saving my magnum primers for when I believe I will need them based upon my past loading endeavors in my magnum calibers. When the primers were readily available and prices were reasonable I used to load three to compare. At times this made a difference in optimizing accuracy, not really that big of difference but certain loads it helped. But honestly the way the primer prices have shot through the roof, I will no longer test the primers, but just use what I have.

It's interesting that I was just looking over some Speer load data for 257 Roberts and whenever they used ball powder, AA2700, W760, H380 & 414, they specified CCI250 primers with charge weights of only 40-45g. I have some 100g bullets loaded with 2700 and standard LR primers(Rem9.5 and CCI200) and will see how they work. Should be fine.
