Some of them are real protein hoovers. We have them in the swamp around here. Nasty bastards will try to get in the boat with you.
 
Some of them just mean too you more than others. Not a giant but I made a great shot in high grass at about 245 yards and hit him right where I wanted. Love that single shot Win 1885.

I mentioned in my post above how that hog had injured 4 dogs and killed one. Amazingly, one of those dogs was ripped open from beside his tool sack all the way to his sternum. Luckily only the skin was opened just like you would do field dressing a deer before gutting it. Not one bit of muscle was cut. The dog found a deep creek with steep banks to lay up in and we couldn't get a signal on him for 3 days. When we found him the vet of course could not sew it up. Hard to believe but he survived and did quite well.
