No Retumbo or H1000 any options?

What is another extreme powder option for 7mm Rem Mag? Components I'm using is 168 Berger hunter, Nosler Brass, and CCI 250 primers. I'm not a fan of Reloader 22 due to pressure spike in hot temperatures.

I am working up a load for my savage 7mm rem mag using winchester brass, federal 215m primers, berger 168 vld hunting, and H4831SC. In doing the ladder method starting at 61gr and workint up to 65gr i only found one node. My last shot with 65gr, the book listed max do not exceed presure, it...

I will give it a try thanks. I lost a brand new jewel trigger due to over pressure last September. Reloader 22 in my opinion is dangerous at higher temperatures

IMR 7977 or RL 26 are very close to H1000 in burn rate and both temp stable.

Another vote for H4831. Long cut or short cut it doesn't matter in mine.

I actually found some Retumbo. Just getting to it before it sells out. Store wouldn't let me purchase it over the phone

N565 is very close to H1k and temp stable with good case fill.

Be careful with RL26...It spikes real fast with zero warning. H4831 or RL23 will also work if you cant find H1000/Retumbo for a good stability. I still personally tend to stick with Hodgon powders...

I think I'm going to stick with the extreme powders also. I found some Retumbo so life is good. I did pick up some H4831SC for a back up

I run RL23 as well as H4831/H4831SC, both work well for me and are very temp stable.
