I was surprised to find some myself.I actually came across some retumbo 1 pounders sitting on a shelf in a gunstore near Augusta Maine. I was surprised to see it.

RL23
RL 23 will do the same thing. Ask me how I know LOLBe careful with RL26...It spikes real fast with zero warning. H4831 or RL23 will also work if you cant find H1000/Retumbo for a good stability. I still personally tend to stick with Hodgon powders...View attachment 208038
I can't find min and max charge weights for RL23. Do you have any info on that? ThanksRL 23 will do the same thing. Ask me how I know LOL
Not goodAll I have is some suggested loads from a gunsmith and I ruined a bunch of expensive brass for a 280 AI messing with it. I have almost a full bottle of it and would give it away to someone local if they want it Im snake bit on it. I started at 57.0 grains. 58.6 was blowing primers out in my 280 AI with 162 ELDX bullets
look on the speer reloading siteI can't find min and max charge weights for RL23. Do you have any info on that? Thanks
My 7mag likes H 4831, my gun didnt like it but a lot of people say theirs does. I'm a retumbo fan. I want to try H1000 eventually. What is another extreme powder option for 7mm Rem Mag? Components I'm using is 168 Berger hunter, Nosler Brass, and CCI 250 primers. I'm not a fan of Reloader 22 due to pressure spike in hot temperatures.
In my 26" barrel I have right at a 3000fps average with SD of 6 with H4831 with 168g SMK's if that helps any. Just noticed you asked that early on and nobody really said about velocities with this powder. Thanks everyone for the help
