Hey, you hunt elk just like I do. I did not know others had copied my style.

I am fantastic at locating/finding elk, probably the worst at killing them. Right now I am 0-5. I've been close during archery multiple times and twice during rifle, but nada. Hell I could tell you a specific ridge they'll be on Oct 15th lol.

I begin hunting Deer many years ago and had early success up until the 90's. I had been seeing more an more elk where I hunted. In 2000 I drew and early archery tag and late season cow rifle tag and so begin my adventure with elk. Some years everything falls in place, others you could not find an elk with a collar tracking device. 2015 was my last trip, knee surgery, my grandchildren coming to live with me and not drawing a tag have contributed to my absents in the Elk wood. This year I have / am applying for multiply tags so now have to start getting my fat backside into shape. So if you see a fellow moving slow, and hobbling along with cane that will be me. But who knows when I have had a Deer Tag, Elk have walk past me single file at 50 yards, so a blind hog can still stumble across ever now again.
