New to Long Range Hunting

I haven't fully decided if I'll switch or not. My thought was I want to learn as much as I can about long range hunting. Huskemaw's system is great if I want to simply dial a yardage with their custom turrets; however, I am looking forward to imputing data, barometric pressure, temp, elevation and using an MOA system. I'm sure I could still accomplish this with the yardage system and an accurate ballistics profile with the Huskemaw, just personal preference. Then again, I have no idea what I'm talking about at this point.
You can get an MOA graduated turret for the Huskemaw, or a Custom Turret Tape with MOA graduations for about $20. Each click will be .33MOA. Don't underestimate the Huskemaw's glass, turret accuracy, and reliability. I have over 10+ years use with them on a couple of my rifles that I've taken coyotes and game out to 1200 yards....The have seen hard use, with complete reliability!

Hello all,

I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Mike and I am brand new to the long range world. I have previously focused my efforts in the archery world and have started to branch out. I will probably ask some really basic and silly questions so take it easy on me. I just picked up a Christensen Ridgeline in 6.5 PRC to begin this journey. A couple of upgrades already, Stocky's VG2 carbon stock and a trigger tech special. Currently running the Huskemaw Tactical 5-20X50; however, I may be swapping out to the NF 4-32x50 NX8.
Howdy, I'm pretty new to the site myself, hunting /reloading information here seems to be top notch, picking up some great information from guys way more advanced in reloading than I.... welcome from NE Ohio

I don't currently own a rangefinder with the ability to input ballistics data. Do you know if there is an option with any of the manufactures for .33 MOA instead of .25?

Welcome from Montana. There a lot to learn here, and it's never ending. All ready to help. You may get 100 different opinions, and you can go from there. I know I have picked up a lot from here, and changed how I reload from here, and to the better. There is a lot of reloading equipment out there. So I would read a lot before buying any. That way you won't be like a lot of us. Wish I knew before, what I know now. There is a lot of knowable people here. Mike
