IMR4064 and Varget have been my most consistent powders in 308. Although there are so many powders that work in that cartridge, it is almost overwhelming to test them all. Good thing you get great barrel life with the 308.

For those wanting a great option that you can push fast, look at the 150 Bulldozer. The owner of Badlands Precision runs that 150 around 2950 with LeverEvolution out of a 20" barrel. I imagine a 24-26" barrel can push it around 3k. I was reading his posts on another thread about the .308 but I can't seem to locate it. Was very interesting and that bullet just kills.

I just had a thought...........go shoot an elk with a 6.5 and while you're field dressing it, come face to face with a big grizzly that wants your elk, and see which caliber you'd rather have. 😆
