The HD is showing good potential. No temp tests yet as I shoot indoors, but great velocities and single digit SDs. 7 Rem Mag running 162gr ELDXs at 3020 fps on a charge of 73.5 grains out of a 24" barrel. SD of 8 and ES of 14 with a 0.48" three shot group at 100 yards. Bore cleaned up easily after shooting. 300PRC and 7PRC are in the queue to shoot next week.
That looks promising. Thanks for the updates and we look forward to hearing how the PRC's fare with this powder.

I hope that wasn't a high end 7mm remington magnum load, if so, it's pretty slow. Which leaves much better choices for 7mm rem mag.

Just a baseline load to see how it performs. We guarantee our rifles will shoot 1/2" or better at 100 yards and this load does. It gives the customer a good starting point for load development. They can take it up from there if they choose.
Anyone else try the StaBall powders?

I ran it a little in my 280 ai, results look promising. I ran out of case before I hit pressure with the Berger 168's. Not the ideal case for this powder but it's still looking promising. Final 5 shot group had an SD of 7. I'm gunna try again with 180 ELDM's

Depending on what you're using it for…this is pretty irrelevant, IMO. If for hunting…pretty null. Maybe I'm missing something?
I ran HD in my 270 wsm. I was able to replicate retumbo velocity's. Give or take 20…. It sure measured nice, as would be expected. I was also shooting in the cold, 20 degrees F.
I did notice a pretty dirty barrel. I should say the bottom of my barrel seems dirty. This was after a clean barrel start. I ran 20 rounds looking for max/ pressure. I had decent to good grouping. Not great ES but something I could prolly work with as a starting place and see if I could get better with primer switch or even a seating depth test.

I found 8 pounders locally and was just trying to decide if its worth taking the dive. I've got other powders that work well without making a mess, but listening to the hype I was tempted.
