Keep me Abreast , i'm wanting more speed and less Pressure out of a 30-378 with the 195 Copper Badlands Bull dozer 2's with 28 inch 10 Twist. Trying to get a .10 more stability . AND SAVE MY BRASS . getting 3,250 100 gr h1000. Want 3,350 same pressure 869 ?,n570? , (win staball ( which one ?? ) ( 7977 probably too fast) & hard to get ) 8311 may work ? n570 better i hear ??? idk .. lot of work to tighten up a 1/4 "( pic with warm #5 Shilen barrel ) trying cold today but that's what i Gotta Have . I Love them One Holers . Part#2 Okay 195's BL PRECISION Bd2's said to be stable for 10 T doesn't look Good .+ 100 fps Or + .100 coal probably wont help Just now, Zero Wind , 10 mins between shots i get a Triangle and color top left tear Bottom RightI'm still experimenting, but N570 seems to be very temp stable. Hoping the same holds true for the Ball HD. I picked up 4 pounds of it to compare to the N570 and H1000. Between the 3 of them, I've got about 15 pounds of "magnum" powder. I want to like all 3. Let's see what happens.
Sounds promising.I bought some Staball HD the other day. Meters very nice. I ran it in a new 6.5 PRC build. I ran 59g with the 143 ELD-X for 2831fps. Hodgdon reloading called for a max charge of 60.1g for a velocity of 2945. Both 24" barrrels on their site and my build. Accuracy was very good and the ES was at 31 for 10 rounds. I shot 10 rounds of the 147 ELD-M with 59g as well. They ran 2851 fps which was closer to Hodgdon's results. ES was 35. These were the first 20 rounds out of a new barrel but both bullets were very accurate. Seemed to be a nice smooth powder and I never got close to any pressure. I will run them hotter next trip out to the range. I did like the powder. Easy to clean as well. This is just my first experience with Staball HD. Good shooting.
I know of a place with 25, but not 26.I'm really hoping the HD will step up and fill the empty shoes left by RL26.
