New Savage 110 Ultralite with Proof CF Barrels

So where are you guys seeing the caliber options? When I call up the page it only shows 308.

It's under specification, top left side. Click on desired cartridge to show information.

Thanks. My Ipad was cutting the left side of the screen off so I couldn't see it.

Barrel is OK...action and stock are nothing to write home about. Add doesn't say anything about Accustock, Aluminum bedded or fiberglass bedded which is what defines accuracy. Proof barrels are not the best in the Fiberglass barrel market, they have simply made a name for themselves by mass producing barrels for mass produced rifles. Waste of money IMHO.
If it doesn't have an aluminum bedded accustock than that is surely a disappointment. The heavy barrel varmint guns they make with the tupperware stock are ok. The heavy tactical accustock one i have is way more consistant and repeatable.

My dealer told me just over $1200 and would be end of feb or early march depending on demand. He thought some calibers would be harder to get. I want a 300WSM and they are pretty popular. A z3 Swaro and talleys will probably bring it in at about 7lbs. However the lack of a bedding block in the stock is a big deal to me for sure! All my composite stocked savages have bedding blocks, I'll tote the extra weight, but to have to buy a new stock just defeats the purpose to me. Will have to call savage and confirm about stock. Yea I wish it had the bedding block.
Worth it for a little extra weight.
even if the rifle came in at 6.25 lbs or so would still be a winner in my opinion.
I don't doubt it will shoot as is without the bedding block.
Heck a $300 axis will shoot better than most people can in actual hunting field conditions.
I would want the bedding for durability and dependability more than an accuracy advantage

I don't know that they are tolerant of 1:8 barrels like this Savage has. Plus, it isn't just about the jump, it is about stuffing the long bullet down in the case.

1:8 twist is pretty much the standard for 6.5 PRC, although I believe I saw one 1:7.7 twist.

Regardless, it is working fine in my 1:8 built on a short action Savage.
0.120" jump, pushing 156 EOL to 3040 fps, 0.5 MOA tested to 200 yards (haven't had a chance to stretch it farther yet--still doing load development). The naysayers that said a SA would be a total compromise for this cartridge without actually building one (e.g. too much jump, compromised case capacity by stuffing bullet into the case) didn't dissuade me from building one, and the "gamble" is paying off...
