That's been exactly my experience. Chamber is tight, but my CA Ridgeline (300 WM) has consistently shot 1/2-3/4 MOA. I don't love a sporter stock, but it works. I also have the CA ELR with the more vertical grip and adjustable cheek weld that I definitely prefer.
I have one and will not buy another. I can DIY build a rifle for what a lefty CA cost me to buy. All 3 below are DIY and cost less than 2500 without optics to build. Especially now with prices dropping or special sales, for example Greyboe Stocks has 25% off everything now. Prefit shouldered barrels were used on all of them and all shoot bug holes. It's not for everyone though.

Do you fight with a carbon ring building up quickly, like what seems to be a trend with CA or have you found a way to prevent it

I have a CA Ridgeline in 6.5 PRC I've had for about 3 years. I like it but does have a tight chamber . Pressures quick. I don't think I'd buy another either or afford one. But I also have a Cooper mod. 52 in 6.5x284 that pressures with factory ammo. My CA doesn't. My Tikka in 6.5 Creed I like a lot. Only thing I changed was stock. Have had no problems with it.

I wouldn't go with a Christensen. Had terrible luck with mine. Might look into building a rifle if your looking at spending that type of money
Honestly, I am no expert on carbon rings or how to clean them. I've just carbon cleaned every 20-30 rounds and copper cleaned at the end of each season. There's probably a carbon ring causing part of the issue, but I've been a little reluctant to head down that path yet....

If anything sucks more Is a Weatherby. I personally wouldn't own one if it was a gift. Way way over rated..

I won't put down a CA; I'm not wound that way, but I do have three Weatherby rifles (all left-hand) shooters and all of them shoot better than I can manage. I know, I've seen 'em do it. With a 54 degree bolt lift, vented bolt, and nine lug bolt, it is a simi-custom rifle from the factory. Try looking at the stats for a 257 Weatherby. You might like what you see! And Knight:, take or build any kind of rifle and have a great time at the range or in the field.

too each it's own, I've owned two Weatherbys and used them extensively and experienced bolt problems both clambering and extracting I for one don't want to take the chance taking it on a dangerous game hunt and running into a situation when you know what hits the fan and I wish I was in Kansas. Just my thoughts no hard feelings about those who own and use Weatherby rifles.
