I use 300 WM brass and resize, shorten, and anneal. Makes for one heck of a lot of fun,

Or the 6 Max or 6 PRC. Been thinking about that those 2.Sounds like you might just need a barrel burner, I believe Sherman's 7 SM might fit the bill. You can also always go with an original 18-20" .308 to provide some challenge.
I love my 28 N with the 195s for Nilgai. Killed a cow last fall at 350 in a super high cross wind. DRTYou have a serious problem sir. You should immediately cease and desist all use of these firearms and send them immediately to me.
Looks like you have all the bases covered given you lack of interest in the .338. I just modified a 33 Nosler reamer to accept bullets out to 3.600" and am going to try to finish off a Nilgai that eluded my 7SS (w/ 195's) in Nov of 22.
That is an interesting idea. I have always been a 270 man and never owned a 270 WSM.How about a 270WSM on a long action for shooting the heavies. I'm just finishing one up. Decent brass support with Norma and Nosler still.
6SST will do 3400 w. 108s. 6 Max (SAUM Imp 40°) will do 3500. Barrel life is 1.5x 28 Nosler. But way easier to shoot. 6 Mega (WSM Imp 40° long neck) would have to be 3600+. A 6 Sherman Mag (6-300PRC Imp 40°+) would have to be 4000-4100+. Not sure if he actually makes that reamer though. Thanks everyone for the replies. Some great ideas. Been leaning toward one of the ultra fast 6MM like the 6 SM. Rich said 3600 fps with a 110. That's smoking!! But I am kind of a frugal guy and even the 28 N barrel life makes me cringe. The 6 SM would be even worse. Might not make it through load development!!!! LOL
I agree with Riflshootr. Buy another action and get something different and cheaper to shoot like a 6ARC, 6BR, 6PPC, etc.People...Long Action Mag Bolt Face.
