Applied Ballistics® announces their new mobile platform, Applied Ballistics® Quantum™, a state-of-the-art app integrating the most complete ballistics solver and profile management tool for long-range shooting. Featuring an all new user-interface, AB Quantum™ includes a host of new tools and features that will enable shooters and hunters to be more successful in the field.

If you already have the AB Mobile App, you will be updated/rolled into this new app automatically!

This Rollout Will Take Up To 7 Days. Only 10% Of Users Will Get The Update by Midnight Tonight. Not Everyone Will See the Free or Update Version Right Away. I cannot Make Google & Apple Work Any Faster. I Do Apologize.

The new AB Quantum™ Ultralite version is FREE with In-App Purchases for Elite or Grandfathered in. Pairing to compatible AB Elite devices will unlock the Elite version for free as well. Those without an AB Ecosystem device can still upgrade the program if they require more features.

iOS: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ab-quantum/id785619104

The all new user-interface is designed with single-handed use in mind, putting all major features just a swipe or tap away from any screen, which allows users to rapidly obtain solutions in the field or at a match. The simplicity and versatility of the app interface creates an intuitive experience for both new and experienced users.

View a walk through/how to video here:

  • Two new prominent features - AB Quantum Connect™ and AB Quantum Sync™ - enable users to quickly connect to other compatible AB-enabled devices and sync gun profiles between them in seconds, as well as back those profiles up to an encrypted server for peace of mind and easy restoration. The new platform automatically saves changes made to rifle profiles and updates connected devices without the user needing to do anything.
  • For competitors or hunters, AB Quantum™ includes customizable Range and Multi-Target tables. This allows users to lay out the displayed information to exactly what they need to hit their target. After creating a range or target card, it can easily be shared via email. Target cards can be edited and built using AB Quantum Compatible Range finders.
  • New Bluetooth® Device Manager - Find and connect AB Bluetooth® devices quickly and send data between devices using AB Quantum Connect™.
  • AB Quantum Sync™ - User gun profiles are automatically uploaded to an encrypted server to allow easy access for other devices and backup, providing peace of mind and security.
  • New Reticle Library - The AB Reticle library is hosted online and updates in AB Quantum™ automatically, providing users with up-to-date solution drawing for their favorite rifle scopes.
  • Remote View Feature – This allows compatible AB Ecosystem devices to display through the AB Quantum App as a Remote View or HUD.
  • Improved Truing Interface - Easy to access ballistic truing features without leaving solution screens.
  • Chronograph Integration - Connect Bluetooth®-enabled chronographs - such as the Optex Systems SpeedTracker™ - directly to the app and save the velocity data to rifle profiles.
Built with the future in mind, the new AB Quantum™ platform allows for continuous innovation, and we have more features coming in the following year!

Well I was running my ABMobile app and decided to update to the quantum version and it's been locking up every now and then. I think I liked the old app better also. Anyway how to revert back to the older version. Also with the new version it lost my temp and pressure data that I had put in the advanced settings to better calibrate or tune my loads. Currently not really impressed with the new version. I'm not or don't have Bluetooth rangefinder and weather meters. Each one does it's on thing. Yes I know you can make a mistake entering data but that's why you check you data and recheck several times before taking a shot. The older app was very straight forward with editing and this one well I'm working it but really like the older version probably more. Would like to run them side by side and see how they compare for me. I don't know maybe by summer it will have some more updates and not lock up. One thing that was really easy was building profiles on my phone and then seeing how a particular gun would compare with a certain bullet and then compare that to other to see if there was any advantage with other guns and loads and bullets compared to some of the old school guns like a seven PRC versus seven rem mag.

1) We have another round of stability fixes coming out tonight, will be propagating to users in the morning. Both iOS and Android.

2) We had to make changes to the MV Temp system so that it was compatible with the devices. We knew their would be some growing pains and do apologize.

3) For some users (especially iOS). Once they get established they have found that deleting and reinstalling the app helps with stability. We got kinda rocked on this one because iOS 18.1.1 went live nearly the same time our app did and we are not given much warning or prep to test for new iOS versions. Sometimes we only get them when you do.

4) Graph comparison is coming back, maybe for SHOT Show or so. But we are trying not to implement too much at once, so we can trouble shoot as necessary.

I got updated last night. Opened the app this morning and I will need to watch the how to videos first and play with it before I can make any constructive comments. It looks like it synched and pulled in all my profiles. Just in the 30 seconds I saw it, it looked like for one of the rifles that had a 100 yard zero, with the range set to 100 yards it showed I needed to lower my adjustment .68 mil to hit at 100? Don't anyone read anything into that, like I said I have not watched or read the how to yet so I need to educate myself before I can comment.

It is nice to see that you are continuing to innovate and make updates. Anytime there are significant change there are bound to be little hiccups along the way. By far, the previous version was better and more consistent than anything else I had used previously from other vendors.

Looking forward to playing with it later today.

I'm guessing you are just behind on the reticles as well? I only see 7 reticles for Nightforce and they are all the Horus Vision ones. No MOA or any of the older established ones like the NP-R2. I've heard others talking about a lot of reticles from other scope manufacturers are also not there.

I'll give some leeway as I am in the software business as well with my own programmers. This was not just a simple update, yours was a definite complete rewrite. Those types of "updates" can literally take as long as a year to get fully worked out.

Also am I missing it or is the atmospherics for when you zero in a load not in the app now? I shoot/hunt in differing elevations from 1,500' to 10,000' plus elevations.

NightForce has not given us permission to use their reticles. Until that happens, I cannot add any more. We have the rights to Horus so we can use those.

Zero atmosphere is under the gun profiles still, advanced options. We did remove the elevation stuff because it didn't matter outside of converting baro pressure to station pressure. It did nothing else.

@Winkfish That AJ you can turn that on/off in the settings.

As for you 100 yard zero I have mine actually zero'd at 200yards or xx high at 100 yards. So the app will tell you to adjust downward some at 100yards. I just have to get into my notes and probably get my temps and pressure entered again and then go test it out. Hopefully it will not change anything which I don't see why it would. It might be a good test to see how well it works though.

Mine updated from the old applied ballistics mobile app (android) overnight.

Whenever I try to open it, it crashed. Its not usable unlike the original which ran flawlessly on my android phone.
I am guessing I will have lost all my info and purchased custom bullet data.
Not Happy at all

My AB Mobile updated to this version overnight. I never noticed until I went to use it just now. Crashed every time I tried to use it. Wont run at all.
I guess my profiles and purchases will be gone too.

Not happy at all.
