Need your advice for young hunter/shooter

on the same note does any one have a light starter load for a .308 got a couple of 11yr old twin girls that love to shoot. i have my .22-250 a .308. 30-06. they love the 250. it weighs 11lbs it is not for packing around. Want to put a bi-pod on .308 and get them shooting after they get more trigger time on the .22-250. I believe the .22 is 1-14 twist so need to find good bullet for that as well.

I know speer and Sierra both make 110 grn bullets in .308 Can't give a powder charge to use with those bullets from experience, but I know it will reduce recoil to the 243/260 class so long as you are not trying to push them at maximum speed. Easier on the wallet that way too. For deer/antelope hunting, you can get 150's from just about anybody.

14 twist is pretty standard in 22-250 and will shoot any bullet up to 55 grns with ease. Might stabilize 60's, might not just gotta try it. For practice and general varminting, you can get 55 psp (rem, win or hornady) for about $0.14 a piece from Cabelas, other places may be cheaper. 34-36 grns Varget should get you close. I use 36.5 grns, but that's max in my gun used for med to long range coyotes with 55 bergers. 35-38 grns of H380 is also generally a good load.
