need a smith to build a rifle

So If im following this correctly the 6.5x284 does not really fit in a BDL rifle very well.
Really don't want a removable mag, really don't like them just my thing.
I want to stay with something with recoil less than a 308. So im thinking the 6.5x284 is as large As Im thinking I should go.
If I need something more Ill use the 7MM Rem Mag or the 300 WSM
This will be used for Rock Chucks

I would do a 6.5-06, a 6.5-06AI, a 6.5-280AI, a 6.5 Sherman, 6.5 Gibbs, etc. The improved versions will be between a 6.5-284 and a .264wm and all of them will work better on a long action set up for a .270win or 30-06.

How hard is it to find brass for these?
IS there plenty of load data out there.
Im guessing the 6.5-06 would be similar to the 25.06 only pushing a 6.5 bullet
that would probably fit need real good

The 6.5-06 is basically identical to a 6.5-284. For brass you use 25-06 or .30-06. The AI version and the Gibbs use the same brass but they are improved for more capacity. The 6.5-280AI is a necked down .280AI and Nosler makes brass for the .280AI. The best load data will be for the 6.5-06, 6.5-06AI, and the 6.5 Sherman since the guy who designed it is on this forum.

Personally I don't like fireforming, and that is why anything based on the 280AI and Nosler brass so awesome.
