Longwalker he stopped when he hit an accuracy node that stacked bullets into 1 hole.
Did not hit any signs of over pressure but I think he was at 3200 fps.I told him another accuracy node could be just a tad more powder but he was so pleased that he stopped.
That bullet will kill anything!He was attacked by several hogs the year before and vowed to get something that would stop a pig twice as big as the 180-200 pound porkers that attacked him and he found it in the Hammer 88 gr Shock Hammer bullet.
I would think you could see velocities you want.

I used H4350 47.4gn with the 70gn HH, mag primers. It should be great with 87 Absolute Hammers, too. R-16 should be similar, though H4350 was more stable than R16 in my rifle. (However, I did not fully control for shoulder head spacing.)

People normally run a ladder with a new rifle, but be prepared to go to higher powder levels, as capacity allows. StaBall6.5 is worth a try, too, if you have it, since it packs densely.

100gr Hornady Interlocks (BTSP).

The trusty Hornady .243 soft point boat tail interlock is available now. Despite it's blunt lead point short boat tail, & modest G1 BC of about .4 it performs well at ranges of 400 or so. I can remember old time rock chuck shooting with the 129 Hornady flat base spire point at ranges up to 500 yards from 10 twist 6.5-06's at 3150 fps with moderate success & that bullet does not have the ballistic qualities of the 6mm 100 BTSP. Pointy 6mm bullets will eventually appear, so the somewhat stubby 100 H BTSP is my 6mm bullet - good from 8 to 10 twist.

I've looked at the Hornady, Nosler and Sierra data and RL-16 seems to shine in the over 100gr bullets. I have RL-19, and even some Superformance. But I'm wondering if something even a little faster like 2000-MR or CFE-223 might really get the speed up.

RL-16 does have the lowest volume for velocity so assuming it doesn't spike pressure quicker I could stuff a case with it.
