My first build

If you rebarrel that to a 7.5 twist 243 the 110 serria and various 105grn+ bullets will shoot very well out to substantial distances. Seeing splash with the 6mm's is tough if not in a dust enviroment though compared to 30 n up bullets

That is the plan! to rebarrel to a longer 1:7.5 in .243AI :) good cheap fun!

I did this build on an extreme budget, components in Australia are pretty expensive in comparison. A second hand / donor tikka t3 is still up around the $800AUD mark, whereas I got this 1500 barreled action for about $500 brand new. It's only a .243 for target.
My next build will be a much better quality rig in a .30 or .338

However, my cheap little Howa rings steel at 1000yrd no worries, so it suits me for learning the LR trade.
Whoa I could git that here in the US for $350

I have checked my stock no pillars or blocks , so I will be attempting to pillar and bed my rifle .
Spend some time on youtube, there are lots of good videos.

I recommend you put them in a few thousandsths high so you can really bed the rifle right once they are installed.

There are lots of pillar kits available through Midway and Brownell's. Aluminum is fine, steel is better.
