Most accurate factory rifle for the 6.5 CM

This company is NOT Sig anything. This is the old J. P. Sauer and Sohn that has been making fine High Price Premium rifles in Germany for a 100 years or so. Mauser M18 is made in the same factory with the same barrel, action and similar adjustable trigger. I find it incredibly modest that Sauer calls their 100 an "entry into the world of Sauer"! This "entry model" has everything most custom makers charge over 2500 for and more. It beats the pants off of most custom rifles. And the upper class Sauers (the 400's) oh, that I were a millionaire or could afford one like Prince Albrecht, (the Hog Hunting Prince you may have seen on the European Hog hunting videos)!
Jon, I know the company well, I was just curious of the Sauer 100 is still made in Germany or some other country with lower labor

have had a look at other peoples sauers, the synthetic thumbhole model. it was setup for driven hunting, a fine rifle. save your money on a aftermarket trigger for tikka and stick a ballpoint pen spring in it!

I adusted my Sauers and Mauser triggers down to as low as I dared to go so that I would still be safe while wearing thin gloves. No ballpoint pen springs required. They break like glass exactly when they are supposed to. Just a matter of getting used to perfection. No one makes a better trigger.

Buy a Tikka T3x Roughtech ($1000) and drop it in a KRG chassis (Bravo $400+). The KRG can be ordered with the adjustable length of pull and you can add other upgrades as you go. Tons of aftermarket support for both. Enjoy!

The X-Ray chassis is the next one up from the Bravo and it comes with the adjustable length of pull. ($449) Sportsman's Warehouse has the Roughtechs for $999. Either chassis would allow you to use AISCs mags and the triggers on the tikkas are great out of the box and adjustable down to 2lbs. The Roughtech comes with the oversized bolt handle, fluted bolt, threaded barrel and fluted barrel. I own several tikkas and Sakos as well as a half dozen full on customs built on various actions. My tikkas all shoot 3/4 to 1/2 moa or better. They are my primary hunting rifles. To me if you want a great out of the box rifle they are the way to go. If I were going to step up I would go with a Sako 85 finnlight II but your going to be closer to $2400 or more on one of those. The 85 is IMO the best factory rifle money can buy next to a TRG or AI and for what you will spend on either of those you might as well build a custom rifle of your choosing.

Surely not a very practical hunting rifle, but for sheer accuracy in a <$1500 factory rifle, my Ruger Precision rifle iowned by myself and a few buddies, out of the box it has produced accuracy comparable to our best custom competition rifles. We purchased them when we were starting out in PRS competition. Not pretty, too heavy, and a bore that looks like the inside of a sewer pipe but I'm approaching 2000 rounds and it continues to display excellent consistency. My buddies rifles have performed comparably. While I have replaced it for PRS competition with more versatile platform, it is now is my sure winner at 200/300 yard Egg Shoot Competition and great for 1000 yard practice. Haven't found a bullet it doesn't like! All 200 yards…. First(left)140 ELD-M ,Others, various hand-loads

Im looking for a new factory rifle in the 6.5 CM The one issue I have is that im 6' 5" so a LOP of 13.5 is like shooting a youth rifle. I can do with a 13.75 but not less than that.
Just like everyone else on this site the most important thing is accuracy. Id like to spend up to $1800 any help would be appreciated

Any USA rifle is the most accurate. IMO anyways. I'll buy a cheap pancake flipper from across the pond, if I have too. But I refuse to buy a rifle made anywhere besides the great USA. Just MO.
You will get so many opinions it's gonna be up to you . I WILL SAY THIS...I have a Remington 700 PCR in 6.5 CM and it will shoot at 600 yards 5 shots inside a 1 inch Bullseye. I paid $849.00 when I ordered it.I put on a Tract Toric ELR it.Ive been shooting 4 years.
I also have a Bergara Premier Pro 6.5PRC thats shoots great too.
That's my experience .
I built a AR10 in 6.5 CM that has a Primary Arms ACSS Apollo PLX 6'-30 X 56 that I can ring steel with out passed 1000 yards and never have to touch the turrets.
So it depends on what you want to use itfor.Good Luck in your search and choice. Buy the best scope you can afford
