So does anyone out there still shoot moly's or anyone coating their own bullets? I have been shooting 224 55gr Sierra Blitz moly's for years but can't get them now. I have gotten along with them great and just hate to change.

I shot moly bullets for many years without issue. I currently shoot naked bullets but have a supply of moly bullets.

I still coat my own and reload coated bullets in all of my family's hunting rifles. I use a small bowl Lee vibratory "case tumbler" using ceramic media.

I have not had the terrible outcomes with my moly career and I'm not exactly sure why. No rust at all or any rust pitting. I have no real idea why I have had nothing but good with my moly venture.

I've had zero problems with rust myself. I don't know where these opinions start on top of it I use the WET method to apply my Molly.

I impact plated moly onto the bullets in a vibratory tumbler. After completion, I tumbled them in wax too. I'm not sure if the wax helped, but it definitely made them cleaner to handle.

My buddy was a die-hard moly user. He used the spray & bake method. I have to admit that his bullets had a dry and durable moly coat on them. We picked a few of his fired bullets out of the dirt berm and they were still very well coated.

When you do it the wet method way after polishing it really does not come off on your fingers without any wax at all.
