Mid-Weight 7mm Mono's for Elk Inside 500yds

Looking for some advice from all you elk hunters on here as I start my new custom rifle build. Cartridge will be 280AI, shots will not be past 500yds and I'm a fan of mono metal bullets. As of now I'm considering the Barnes 145LRX and 150TTSX as well as the 145 & 153 Hammer HHT's. What are you all's opinions on the mid-weight 7mm bullets and their effectiveness on elk inside 500yds? Should I be considering heavier than this, or will this more than do the trick?

Appreciate any info and real-world experience you all can offer.
