I have a .308 CTR that is fantastic in the OEM stock. I may throw that in this new stock or…buy a new rifle to put in the stock.
The 700 variety has a notch for the bolt, I'm sure they will do the same for the TikkaQuestion … will you have to remove the barreled action from the stock to remove the bolt to clean it? What I was told just now. True or False
If it will be a while I'd order for what it is. Easy enough to sand out later if needed.I got a call from McMillan today. They're looking. For the details and finalization for the stock order.
I will be ordering:
Right hand
carbon fiber
CTR inlet
13.5" LOP
Pic rail up front and a Arca rail by the mag well
Probably get some flush cups
Either Hard edge sage or molded in marsh camo
Here's a question for you guys. Since a .308 has long barrel life, would you get the barrel channel for the CTR barrel, or a proof Sendero for options down the road? I have no intentions changing the barrel until it's shot out, which will be awhile.
