Michigan Opening Day

Yep, really bad here. Maybe 90% in some areas. So sad finding dead deer after another. Usually on water, ditch, stream or pond. Smell was horrible in September.
Yep I have family that lives along Leonard road by the spooonville hunt club. Went form seeing 60 deer a night to lucky to see one. Happened several year back also.

Well that at least helps the dnr with the quest to lower deer population. Since they seem to have made all the wrong choices with the new regulations moving forward.

Amazing recovery! Had three back surgeries myself, all three separate issues, and am doing great now, but folks that don't know, don't know. Recovery from back surgery can easily take a year, especially fusions and such. Congratulations on getting better, smarter, and getting your buck.

Thank the Lord for buzzards. Two deer died next to a creek very close to my house in early fall. They were relatively young deer. I'm not sure what caused their demise, but it was very unpleasant for a few days. The buzzards were a welcomed clean up crew.
