Me too! My biggest WT ever

I will say I am not what is considered a trophy hunter. My goal is venison first but nice antlers make me happy given the option. I do assess in my mind what are my odds vs time spent in field and time left to hunt. Last couple years was doe and fork. Lots of whitetails in this area. Hence the any deer plus four month season with various weapons. One deer does not feed a family for a year and so elk in an important part of only eating wild meat for the year. I do hunt in Oregon as well and the Idaho tag as most non-res tags is not cheap. Certainly would be less to just buy beef but as you all know - that is not the point. I also grow my own vegetables- part of the same mind set of some sort of self created food. None of it not necessary but lots of people don't get this. Happy hunting for those that have some left!

Good decision on your part. Awesome buck. Had you been seeing this guy before?
Congrats
I have him on a trail cam in velvet in August in the area. I could tell he would be a nice buck and know it was him due to the dual tines. And a later pic of him in the dark. The season in ID covers the whole rut. Sept for arch, Oct-Nov rifle, Dec - arch and muzzle.
