MD youth hunt. Son’s first buck.

Oh yeah, I've got him at the bench already, resizing and checking measurements. This is a very good way to give him a sense of methodical discipline and the importance of paying attention to detail. He put that Nosler right where it needed to go and don't think for a minute I haven't reminded him that he hit the Mark due to some careful reloading by his Old Man!
Great stuff , the young people are the future of this sport and your son gives us all great hope. I remember in 2003 I bought my oldest son a Hoyt compound bow for Christmas , the guy who set it up at Lancaster archery said wow this is a expensive gift! I told him so is crack , I would rather have him hunting and fishing. It's been money well spent. Both sons have stayed out of trouble and have families of their own. Your doing a great job with your son , again congrats to you both!

We have to pass on hunting/loading/outdoors to our young ones as it is one of the great classrooms of the world. Memories like this will last forever....

Nate hunted hard with me in the back 40 all weekend and at 4:30 PM eastern today, put a 115 Nosler through the lungs of this nice central MD whitetail at 170 yards. His first buck. Here he is. If you can see the rifle leaning against the pine in the background, it's my Cooper Jackson Game in .25-06. A rifle that I will hand off to him someday in hopes that the cycle will continue. I've been waiting 14 years for this. God smiled on both of us today!

Great looking young man and a fine buck! Congratulations to you both!

I'm sure that Cooper also played a big roll in that shot placement as well. Congrats to both of you. I remember my son shooting his first one at 8 and got the scope eye brow bruise lol. At 15 he still remembers that one.
