March Scopes, Tough Enough?

The stocking situation is about to change drastically in the US, along with warranty service.

what does warranty service in US look like?

a few weeks ago I was told if There was a problem it had to go back to Japan
That is correct. You ship it to a destination in the US, then if it's a real problem they will ship it to Japan. Since the scopes are argon filled, if they are opened up, they have to be sealed up and argon filled again. They will ship it back directly to you. I gad my reticle changed last year and the whole process took 3 weeks, door to door.

I was deleted as well... All but one post I believe. That thread sticks in My craw. Lost a lot of faith in said forum that day.

Kahles & March scopes rank at the very top of the industry both in toughness and quality. this has been proven.
Yep I'd take what that guy says with a grain of salt, I've read some really biased posts..
When I challenged his opinion about bullet performance on other forum I was deleted by the moderator shortly after.
Claimed it was for name calling or some BS
Just so you know, not all the posts are visible on the longrangeonly thread because Broz deleted them. Mine was one of them because I backed up what another poster with much more experience than me had said concerning the reliability of March scopes. I will not name the other poster, he is on this forum as well and can confirm if he wishes.

Whether or not the post claiming March scopes did not hold zero was valid or not, when members post their experiences to the contrary and the moderator (who opened the thread) deletes them and promotes the brand who is a sponsor of the forum he moderates is problematic and lessens the confidence of the members who want to fairly express their views.

Something to think about!!

How is the glass quality, image resolution in low light and eye box when settling in for a shot?
I've had no issues seeing at low light with mine. The glass is some of the best out there. The eye box is small, but you get use to it. It hasn't affected me.

Both of mine have been through things some might consider abuse. On a horse, tossed around in the rig and probably the worst- being strapped to my pack along with elk quarters while falling and sliding off mountains. I seriously doubt I'll ever buy another brand.

This might be helpful:

(and by the way, I like the ones we have - no issues for 2 seasons so far)

Not to derail a different threads, I thought I would start this one. On the thread toughest long range scopes, March is hardly mentioned. When March does get brought up in other threads everyone talks about how great and tough they are. Are they really as tough as a Nightforce, US Optics, etc.?

I haven't had any instances with my March yet to claim it's a tough scope, but it has done everything I have asked of it.

Thanks

if you want a hammer, get a hammer, if a good scope is what you need, most upper scale brands are excellent

FTRshooter,
It appears I'm almost a year after you in posting. I have a 2 1/2-25X52 with illumination. I didn't know it has illumination until part way through the first day of hunting. I happened to look at the scope and what do I see? Something missing from the center of the parallax knob. I called the company and discovered the illumination control fell out. The lady was going to charge me $180 plus shipping. When I whined about it being the first time out she gave me a 10% discount and paid the shipping.

With the wire transfer it cost $205. She sent it to my house. I installed a battery and screwed in the controller. I guess it's as good as new.

The glass is about as good as the Leupold VX6 4-24X52 in day light, but better in low light.
