Major problem with adding suppressor to 300 win mag. Looks like back pressure can open bolt.

The suppressor is fine. That's a high quality suppressor with a proven record. Not to say there's nothing wrong with it, but it can handle .300 win mag without issues. Don't recognize that ammo, but if it shot fine without the suppressor on, I would be looking real hard at the adaptor.

Yes that's the ammo federal premium nickel case. Thank you guys for all your insight. He's going to take it to a gunsmith I know. Was hoping to get it fixed before elk opening on Saturday. Gunsmiths was out on an antelope hunt and just got back so he's going to look at it on Monday. By the way he shot a really nice one....
