Ok, I like a lot of other members, saw the video made by Vortex Nation on the .300 Super WSM build and shooting results. Long story short, I have a Browning X-bolt chambered in 7mm magnum, with pencil barrel (as I call them) that I never shoot and wanted to do something with. I called McGowen barrels today and I'm going to send my barreled action to them and have them install a barrel chambered in 300WSM. I'm probably going with a Shilen #5 (S5.5) profile 1-8 twist 24" barrel. He told me I may have feeding issues and if I have to handfeed that's ok, however if not my main question for all y'all more experienced than me. What long action caliber magazine would I use to feed the 300 WSM ammunition. I already have a few boxes of the Barnes LRX Bore Rider bullets in 212gr. According to Ryan Muckenhirm with Vortex Optics, their COAL on the ammo they used in the video was 3.465. Thanks for any and all help on magazine choice. I'm most likely going to use a McMillan stock as choices are slim for a decent stock for the X-bolt. (In case anyone asks, I already have another 7mm magnum heavy barrel and 7mm PRC)
