Looking for a SIMPLE minimalist 3-9, recommendations?

I too was looking in the safe for a rifle to put that Tract scope on.
I didn't find any…immediately got cold sweat, so I quickly closed the door and left because I knew where that would lead!
Had other Christmas priorities!…for now!
That is dangerous! It looks like it just sold, so you're safe for now haha. I'm not at all familiar with Tract optics, I take it they have a good reputation.

Camera land has the Swaro 3-9 x 36 for $699
While you're on Cameraland, check out the Sightron lines as well. Sightron is a sleeper in glass right now, as I've got 7 of the S-TAC line scopes and am nothing but satisfied. Or call and talk to Doug about his recommendations he will tell you what comes back, what goes for repairs etc.....
They also dabble in Meopta, Athlon, and a bunch of other better known glass makers.

Burris Fullfield II, Vortex Diamondback fill in all the boxes including work great. Spend more and Leupold Freedom. For me nothing costing more is even on the page of minimalist.

I bought a Toric 3 - 15 x 42mm and it's been a great optic for the money. Bright and clear and adjustments are spot on. I have only had it a short time before it went on its forever home.

I had it on a 26" 6.5 Creedmoor for its initial run, dialed out to 1000yds and back to 450yds where it stayed. I killed a couple of bigger pigs at 450yds waiting until the Talley Lightweight mounts for the Pierce Titanium showed up. Then back to it's zero at 200yds and it was still on before removing it.

I think it looks better on the Pierce 280 Ackley than the old X-Bolt.

I have been a Leupold fan for decades and have owned several of the offerings. If you are not dialing and hunting in timber, it is hard to beat the old VXR 3-9x40 IMO. It does have 30mm tube though. The fire dot duplex reticle is my favorite for dark woods situations where quick target acquisition is needed.
I put a VX-R 3-9x40 on my WT rifle this year and love it so far.
