Lost my life long hunting friend

It is mixed emotions day for me.
My life long hunting buddy and friend passed away 82 in a few short days would have been 83.
His funeral was today. 35+ yrs of memories.
Three years ago was our last hunt in PA and NY.
The many miles to camp and home.
The shared success and going home empty handed.

My thoughts go out to you . I have a memorial tomorrow for my uncle , he passed a few weeks ago at 84 . Lots of hunting stories will be told .

3 years ago I lost a lifelong best friend-brother inlaw-hunting-fishing-skiing-country boy partyin' buddy who I have known since 4th grade. He was 58. I've also lost my Dad, a Son, and a Brother since Sep '22. To say it has been a shocking 3 years is an understatement. It's been numbing. I recommend leaning hard into The Lord. Speak your broken heart in prayer, don't hold back and go boldly before the Throne of Grace. There is comfort to be found there.

I lost a hunting buddy in his late 40's to cancer. We knew each other for almost 30 years, from college days. Its been almost 10 years. I still hear his voice in my memories.

Cherish the memories and think of ways to help someone else into hunting...
