Looking for 416 VLD Bullet for 1:11 Twist

Stability is affected by several factors, the most important factors being barrel twist rate and the length of the projectile. To a lesser degree it is also affected by the bullet shape, velocity and environmental conditions.

Wildcat pushes bullets a bit over 400 grains to a bit over 3000 fps. To be used for North American big game in the elk to moose size categories.

Correct. 500g is too heavy.
Looking to go at least 1000 yds.
Will have to dig out the data velocity.
What cartridge (.416 R, 416 RM, 416 Righy, etc.)?

Are you looking for mono or c&c?
As you can see, people are genuinely trying to help you, but you're not making it easier. OK, you have a wildcat that propels a 400g to 3000 FPS.

- A 400g at 3000 FPS is no slouch. I am unsure what your velocity goal is for 500g, but it would be nice to know what you got. Is the 400g a mono or C&C? As others noted and recommended, most bullets are monos. SwampLord is a big-time wildcatter (has his line of wildcats) and used to be a member here and has experimented with Hornady 500g A-Tip. He also killed a few moose with it.
