As noted, I still use Hodgdon Extreme Powders. My records shows (10/2014) I am getting 100 FPS more with RL-17 over H4350 with Berger 215 in my .300 WSM. So, it has almost 10 years of longitudinal use. And no, I am in no way endorsing it, but simply saying I made it work for my intended use.
I am currently using H1000 and Retumbo in my pressure testing in my .257 WBY and 163 Chinchaga. Good luck!
Don't forget 4831 and 1000.
For the velocity sacrificed there are some strong positives… mainly a cool burn temp and awesome consistency. Time has proven it.
I have some h1000 and need to get more so I can work up some loads with it.

I use Staball 6.5 in .22-250 with 75 ELDM's, 6.5 CM with 123, 130, & 140 ELDM's with outstanding results.
I use Staball HD in 6.5-06 & 6.5 PRC with 140 Barnes Match Burners & 140 ELDM's with outstanding results.
By "outstanding" means 5 in same hole. Temps ranged from mid 30's to low 90's.
I use CCI 34 primers except for the 6.5 CM I use Rem 7 1/2 primers (SRP).
Case fill is 94-97% full for all loads. Primers are on hot side. The CCI 34, mil spec, is intended for 7.62X51 (.308) loads that are commonly loaded with ball powders and are intended for wide temp ranges. The little Rem 7 1/2 approaches the Fed 210 for blast pressures.
No extruded powders are made in USA. The Winchester Staball powders are less expensive & easier to buy than many extruded powders.
My experience with temperature sensitivity was not so good with H414 loads in .22-.250 with the olde Hornady 75 Amax bullets. The load was carefully worked up at 60 deg temps but on a 95 degree rodent shoot I had sticky bolt lifts & cratered primers. A .20 P loaded with IMR 8208 saved the day.

I'm loading a bunch of 7 Mag loads with RL-22 right now. Why? Because I have an ample supply and I'd like to use it up to make room for the temp stable powders that are becoming more of the norm. I'm certainly not going to throw it out when prices are at their Current highs.
I can rezero and Chrono right before my hunts this year in cooler temps. This will get me where I need to be. Not a big deal.

The Hornady guys said in a recent podcast that SB match and HD are both more insensitive to temperature than 6.5 .
However, it is cartridge dependent! So rather than rely on one of the charts you find on the Internet for.numbers, it is best to test it yourself for the temp range you plan on shooting. If you hunt between 75F and 20F, then figure out that speed/temp relationship for that temp band. The speed change may not be linear between 0F and 125F.

I always use H4350 when I can, H4831SC is another go to. These both to be extremely consistent and temp stable. However, my friend had the best accuracy results with fantastic velocity in his 7mm-08 w 151 PVA cayugas, using 6.5 staball. I was thinking about giving it a try as well as staball HD.
