Pretty on par load data wise with the 120 Speer load i have. Looks a little faster tho with the same charge. GLTaylor provided that data to Hammer. I'll use it for starters. Work from there
I can give you one in the 90 absolute last week I maxed out at 3878 average 3855 but settled on 3825fpsLike to see some load data for those 121s in the 25-284
I haven't shot a deer with that bullet yet but at that velocity up too 350 yds it should be pretty effectiveI can give you one in the 90 absolute last week I maxed out at 3878 average 3855 but settled on 3825fps
I'll take it. Man that's smokinI can give you one in the 90 absolute last week I maxed out at 3878 average 3855 but settled on 3825fps
I know rl19 is tempt sensitive but it works I found a load for 85 gr Nosler ballistic tips with a max load of 59 hrs at 3718 so I started at55 hrs and worked up never really hit pressure until very compressed at 62 grsvery minor ejector imprint backed off too 61.2 hrs with a cci 200 rifle 25 in 1-8 Douglass xx air gaged barrel 3 shot avg 3860 62 grs 61.6 3832 and 61grs 3778 3 shot avg note H4350 gives less case fill but good vel also hit pressures a little sooner but still achieved 3816 with59.5 grs too hot 58 hrs will get you 3667 plus still not a bad load all loads with Lapua 6.5- 284 brass necked down with a 283 bushing oal 2.875 start low and watch for pressure I never had any bolt lift issues but a smoked primer with h4350 at 59.5 grs loads worked up in 90 deg plus tempt good luckI'll take it. 25-284 90 gr absolute load data in on tha absolute hammer forum load data powders used H4350 and Rl19 the Rl19 really surprised me if I had H 4831 I would try it my loads were compressed but evidently Rl19 compresses easy because I maintained zero bullet runout if you could find a powder gust a tad faster than Rl19 and slower than H4350 it would be perfect but I used what I have on hand my load will be 61.5 and 61.2grs of Rl19 cci 200 oal 2.875 oal with Lapua brass .004 neck interference with a light crimpThis is with a 25-284 ?
Don't have RL19 but I do have 4831,4350,RL26. Been using the 4831 for the initial shooting but plan on going to the RL26 for the heavier bullets. I'll start out with 4831 and use some starting loads based off some 90 grain Hornady GMX bullets.25-284 90 gr absolute load data in on tha absolute hammer forum load data powders used H4350 and Rl19 the Rl19 really surprised me if I had H 4831 I would try it my loads were compressed but evidently Rl19 compresses easy because I maintained zero bullet runout if you could find a powder gust a tad faster than Rl19 and slower than H4350 it would be perfect but I used what I have on hand my load will be 61.5 and 61.2grs of Rl19 cci 200 oal 2.875 oal with Lapua brass .004 neck interference with a light crimp
Not meaning to be a PITA and changing things but i would like to PICK your mind on the best Hammer Load for the 26-06 AI 7.5 twist that i purchased at your recomendation. I have fire formed about 50 brass so far and would like to start on some serious Development. Thanks Bean you seem to be a GREAT guy for helping people . Fed-WellIt is hard to clear your mind and many will never grasp a hold of it but man once you do it awesome, @dougduey pestered me for 2 years to try Hammers and I just blew him off but his persistence finally got to me, It's been a game changer for me
H4350 will be your winner with the 121's I do believeDon't have RL19 but I do have 4831,4350,RL26. Been using the 4831 for the initial shooting but plan on going to the RL26 for the heavier bullets. I'll start out with 4831 and use some starting loads based off some 90 grain Hornady GMX bullets.
The old Speer number nine manual shows a 87gr at 3623 with58 grs bullet of Imr 4831 and 3386 with 55 grs of Imr4831 with the 100 gr remember a mono bullet allows you too step down in weight the 25-284 should shine with the 90 gr absolute you will get a big velocity gain with that bullet over a conventional cup and core unless you plan on shooting past 400 yds I would take a look at the 117 gr absolute if you have the right twist I think off the top of my head at least a 1-8.5Don't have RL19 but I do have 4831,4350,RL26.
