Load data .243 Ackley varmit load please

Hi guys I am over on the other side of the pound (UK) I am after some loads to try in a .243 AI it has a 1 - 12 twist barrel 270 neck and I would like to use 70g Nosler BT's the powder I am starting with is Varget.

Any suggestions please.

Start with 42.5 grs Varget and work up to 47.5 MAX, watch for pressure signs while working up to max load, your gun may not take a max of 47.5, you will most likely end up in the 46 gr. area.
Good luck and start at 42.5 unless you are fire forming cases, then use 40 grs Varget to start.

My favorite load for the 70gr Nosler BT is 46gr/H414 (a mild load). That load of 48gr listed in 6Br is too hot in my rifle.

Best I've found for the 6mm AI is 70gn Nosler BTBT with 48.5 VihtaV N150 chrono 3906. 5 shot groups average .179. I would call this my max load and would approach it carefully depending upon your rifle. Good luck.

If you have some you might like the results with Alliants Reloader 17. I load 43.5g under the nosler 70g bullet. From my 28 " barrel I get 3250fps and half moa accuracy. OAL 2.160
