I bought one this year with the HTMR reticle. As everyone else has said, its very bright and not terribly heavy.

I have a VX6HD 3-18x50 Firedot. It is fantastic for hunting. If I were buying again I would go with the 44mm to get the scope lower. I will add, I also bought an Optika6 in the same configuration and the quality of the glass bw the two is virtually nil. For half the price of the VX6, it's 98.5% of the scope. If you are dialing the Leopold's turrets feel better. If you are setting and forgetting, save the money and buy the Meopta.
