This my UNFIRED 1977 Remington 700 in 22-250 with a same vintage Redfield 6x18-44 scope, there is no comparison with what Remington offers today, funny thing is I have no desire to fire it.

I would be happy to break it in for you as I have a friend that reloads for that cartridge. We have lots of Ground Hogs here to test it on.

6mm-06

This is my new 6mm-06
Defiance Deviant Hunter action w/ 20 moa rail
27" benchmark with round brake
NF NXS 5.5-22
Timney Calvin Elite
B&C A2

The black gun is my 6mm Remington. I have nick-named it "Sunday Special" (ground hogs look like a yard sale and ground squirrels end up looking more like a swap meet afterwards.)

Nice rifles. I'm not familiar with the 6mm-06. What kind of exterior ballistics are you expecting to achieve? 115g Berger VLD going 2900++? Curious to know your load data too.

I would like to see the 105 A MAX around 3200-3300 with H1000. If these turn out to be a slouch, (I doubt they will) I will try the 90-95 class boolits and see if I can use a little faster powder. My wife made me promise to not do any loading until after Christmas... ...It's absolutely killing me!

At what range do you expect to engage targets/varmints? If 600 and beyond, I would recommend that if the 105Amax does not work well, to go with a heaver, higher BC bullet rather than go down to 90-95grainers. If you can push the Amax at 3200, I would think you could push the 115berger at 3000. (that's just WOW ballistics)

Do you have a new barrel already to go for when you burn this one up?? :D
