Not far. I don't have a range finder on my scope or scanner, but the first one was maybe 125 yards. The second one was inside of 100.

Calling has not been working so I decided it's time to get serious about glassing. Spotted one from several miles away right at sunrise then drove around to the down wind side about 3/4 of a mile. Turned out to be three of them in there. Got the first one at 362 then missed a second at 589. Need some practice with my 20 mph wind calls. .243 with the 87 Vmax
