Leatherwood uni-dial scope

I've been looking into these scopes for the last three days. They seem like the real deal. I've read your posts and that has helped a lot. I'm mostly interested in the 2.5-10x50 uni-dial. Is this worth 230$? I'm not sure. I'm thinking about putting it on a 300win mag BAR. Possibly my 700 264 win mag. Any thoughts?

Why the 1" main tube? I have been switching all mine out to 30mm tubes for maximum adjustment and the 2.5-10x50 will not have paralux adjustment. What is your intended purpose (medium or long range) shots?

Just some thoughts to consider.
