Kodiak brown bear rifle

I'd say there's two sides to this coin regarding your choices...
Unique conversation piece at the range:
Pick the Norma or Improved
Easy plug and play:
Pick the Ruger

Speaking from experience, wildcats are fun, unique and always interesting. They are a pain to make and load for at times which leaves me wishing for a factory chambered round. Also, resale with them is not as good in my experience.

I have 4 wildcats now. One is based off the 338 Norma mag case.
So I am no stranger to the efforts involed with a wildcat. In fact I prefer them to conventional cartridges.
I am leaning to the 375 Norma mag improved if the process and numbers check out.

One plus to the 375 Norma improved is to have the option to rebarrel it to a faster twist and experiment with some long range stuff

If I planned on taking it to Africa I'd do a 375 Ruger. It's just less hassle entering countries. If you only intend to use it here then the 375 Norma Imp.

So this is the plan.
First candidate is the 375 Norma Mag improved.
Trying to get the reamer figured out and designed.
The neck length for the 375 vs. the 338 neck is key.
So this is the way I am moving forward.
